This is a series of small tutorials to learn how to manage content in a Joomla Content Management System (CMS). It is intended to familiarise users with basic tasks and concepts by providing quick hands-on exercises. We are working on other tutorials about building a website with Joomla and about site maintenance.
Where to Work the Tutorials
To work these tutorials, you need a fresh Joomla installation with no customisation, preferably on a test site or on your local computer. How to set that up will be shown in another series of tutorials about site building. For the tutorials about content management we assume you have such a test site available. Someone can set such a site up for you, or simply start experimenting with a (free) site on launch.joomla.org.
Working in a production site is risky, and customisations can lead to different behaviors, appearances, and results.
Initial Tutorials
Examples of how to login to Joomla and become familiar with a few basics.
1.1 Admin Login: logging into the backend, the administration section.
1.2 Site Login: logging into the frontend of the site.
1.3 Viewing the Site: viewing the site, while working in the backend.
